hey all, just wondered, when you make an irish cream, usually they say it will keep for 3 months, if you use real cream instead of the powdered stuff will it keep the same amount of time?
It's all kept in the fridge.

Hey mate,
I'm not sure how they do it in retail products, maybe use UHT cream? But if you're using fresh stuff I'd go by what's on the use by date on the container.

Here is a website with a bunch of recipes for liqueurs, and these recipes recommend condensed milk while this one recommends half and half plus full cream milk. I'd say it's probably easier to just go for the condensed/UHT, if for no other reason than it's just more convenient.

I just mix with fresh cream (or milk) at serving time. Lasts as long as the spirit then.
