Picked up this recipe in a brochure ate the Beer Expo.
Call me weird but this sounds like it might be interesting ( and relatively easy)
1 can Blackrock Whispering Wheat Malt Ext
1 Can Black rock Light Unhopped Malt Ext
2 cups Honey
2 Cinnamon Sticks
3 or 4 can Whole Cranberry Sauce (pureed)
4 Whole Allspice berries
2 jars Orange Marmalade (10oz)
Boil 2-3 litre water. Add Honey, Cinnamon and allspice berries. Boil 2 mins and remove from heat
Stir in Extract and Marmalade
Pour in fermenter
half fill with water - add cranberry sauce and stir vigorously
Make up to 23 litres
Pitch yeast with temp between 18 and 28degrees
Allow to sit 5 mins
Stir vigorously again
put lid on.
Ferment for 2 weeks
NOTE: there is a warning fermenter may overflow (or explode) and to put fermenter in a tray to catch overflow.
It sounds intriguing and might be a nice brew SWMBO might like (me to actually). I recently did a similar wheat type recipe with orange and coriander was awesome. So I figured this recipe is a nice step from that one.
Any thoughts or advice on doing this would be greatly appreciated.
