Sorry to be annoying M.A.L.E people but is there anyone who lives nearby who doesn't mind if I pop around to crack 8kg of grain. Got a 25kg bag of pilsner grain only to realise too late that it wouldn't be cracked like previously.

Worst case scenario I'll mortar and pestle it, but heard bad stories about that and hoping to avoid it. Naturally I'm willing to compensate for your time in the form of pilsner malt :) (my beers aren't very good).

Dave.

You can chuck it in the blender if you have one that is able to crush ice (e.g. for smoothies). It will give you a much finer crack so you might have probs sparging. I've only done partials with mine so I haven't really had too much hassle doing it this way.

HTH,

Tim

Tonight? or tomorrow? I'm up the road a bit, but offers there.

I can do it for you this afternoon or some time over the weekend

Let me know

Kabooby :)
