Hi i am looking at what different hops people put into there pale recipese
My base ingrediants consist of coopers pale tin, 500g dlm, 200g dwm, 250 dex and coopers recultured yeast
ATM i have a brew in the fermentor with cascade 20@ 30min 15@ 10min and 15@ flameout.
what i want to know is what other type of hops people have liked and at what time they have aded them..

cheers bunney boy

I use Amarillo, Chinook & Cascade (not all in one brew) for most of my pales with the CPA tin o goo, usually in the last 10 mins of the boil

I did a quick one with 20g or Pride of Ringwood for 20 mins but no other additions. Came out easy to drink and quite plain like a CPA. If I brew again will probably add cascade and may dry hop for some more flavour.

Hahaha! She says "When are you going to brew that nice summer beer again"

That's whay the Stouts, and English Milds/Bitters are for - so she doesn't drink 'em!

I used a tin of CPA goo as well and threw in some Amarillo in about 5 minutes before end of boil. My bottles are carbing up at the moment but taste quite nice. There is a strong Hop flavour but then I did use 30gms in the last 5 minutes.

Cheers,

Yeah I started with 15g, then 20g, now it's 30g, I just can't get enough of that hop ATM

Amarillo and Galaxy. Lots of Galaxy and steeped Amarillo if I have some in the freezer. If not just Galaxy.

Next I'm going to try is Nelson sav. Sounds

galaxy and pride of ringwood. seperate, or together. amorillo is good. nelson i didnt dig, but i didn't bitter enough with that brew to combat the 1kg LDME.

One of my earliest brews was the CPA can with a 'teabag' of Cascade used for dry hopping. Worked a treat...
