Would like to know if I should bottle this brew with a reading of 1022 at 20 deg. Has been in the fermenter for 22 days now and has been reading 1022 since day 8. On day 11 I gently stirred the wort and replaced the lid. Starting gravity was 1058 at 18 deg and has been fermenting at 22 deg.

The brew is a stout, ingredients below:

Stout tin (Wals Stout)

900g brew enhancer II

400g DME

650 g roasted barley 250g Caprils (hot steep method)

Liquid boiled for 50mins

12 Goldings at 50mins

18g Goldings at 10mins

12g Hersbrucker at 10mins

Irish ale yeast 1084

Cooled and topped up to 22 litres with filtered water.

Sounds like its not going to move any further. After 14 days at FG I'd be going to bottles. What FG were you expecting? (I've never used 1084 but it seems like you've got a fair few unfermentables in there?)

That's the thing with some of the UK Ale yeasts. I have a windsor yeast that finished at 1.022. If it is lower attenuating yeast, it won't go too far down, and the fact that you started at 1.058, is a pretty good indication that it's okay. Plus the fact that it spent 14 days at the same gravity is the biggest indicator.

Incidentally, it's the brew below :)
