Was out shopping today and saw 19 litre/5 gallon coolers for $20.00.

Awfully cheap way to get started mashing some grains. You would just need to make up a manifold or false bottom or bazooka screen.

The shop was at O'Halloran Hill in Adelaide's southern burbs. Not sure of the name of the shop but if anyone is interested I will find out.

Kmart are also selling willow 19ltr round coolers cheap...

Around the same price.

Note this is from memory....

Would such a cheap cooler be able to withstand the heat?

My first mash tun was a 25L esky from crazy clarks, it seems to do the job as well as my 40l coleman esky
