How much for a 10k refill, would they refill BOC cylinders? I do a swap and go with the local BOC but they are spiralling out of control. (think they own the Island)
Good excuse to take SWMBO up to Maleny for a coffee and a look round, she's getting a bit savage on me lately. <_<

It was about $10 a kg I think. They have a big BOC bottle... not sure they have a BOC fitting.. Call Wayne today - he'll know.

I remember reading somewhere that BOC "go after" anyone who refills their bottles.
I can't imagine on what grounds you could be charged or sued??
I guess it's similiar to milk crates... where they always remain the property of the milk company.

It was $10 a Kg two weeks ago when they filled my 5Kg bottle, just call to make sure that they have plenty of gas if you have a large bottle to fill.My bottle is 700mm high which is about as high as they can fill.

Haven't called in there for a long time but THIS is absolutely disgusting.


No craft brews served here but a great place for Beerwah locals to visit & socialise. You can just imagine what this will do to the fabric of a small community where things are tough enough ATM.

Apparently there is a pin in the filling valve that has to be removed so that it can be filled by non-BOC filling stations. The pin can only be removed from bottles that are stamped PP which I'm told is for bottles that have been purcahsed (as opposed to rented) from BOC.

This is good news, about time the Sunny Coast had something like this.
Perhaps now I can ditch the BOC rental.
