My FIL was decanting 3x 55 gal drums of River Gold into 20L buckets at a customer's house this morning when I turned up.

All that from those little, stripey beasties. Bees are incredible !

Righto, I'll be back in Melbourne on Sunday, and I'm bringing another load of Orange Gold back.

There is a slight price change due to an all-time high price of honey and general availability issues of the varietal (btw, any lucky buggers got shares in Capilano?).

Orange Gold is now $33, River Gold remains the same at $30.

All other details remain the same as in the original post.

Quick update.

The Orange groves are kicking along in Mildura now and the first run of extraction will be happening shortly.

So, supplies of Orange Gold will be topped back up and the price is back to $30 each for either River or Orange.

All other details remain the same as previous posts.

Except....if you wanted a carton (4x3kg buckets) it is now $110. Half&Half cartons are available, eg 2xOrange 2xRiver.

Hi all,

I'm going to be aiming to keep a stock of honey at my place from now on, so we can dispense with the list from now on.
Just PM me with an order and we'll go from there.
I have 11 buckets of each ATM and I'm going to do more bee work in a few weeks, so I'll bring more back then.
GALBREW, I'll PM you now.

Here's a pic of my latest Dry Mead with River Gold Redgum/Blackbox honey.

7%ABV, high carbonation, floral/fruity and still very slightly sweet. It's very hard not to get the pint glass out for this one...my 'remaining upright' skills will be severely affected if I do though.
