        1. pitch some actively fermenting larger yeast or
        2. Pitch some saison yeast that's actively fermenting and keep it below 20c

        Good luck. I hope you are kegging it otherwise it may be a little under carbonated.

        Even kegging doesn't fix it. After you've denied it as much as possible saying "yeah! I think its OK like this" but no. Sorry, I've had a few not brew out properly and I've tried the fix it scenario's. Good luck anyways!

        Haha, there is a Berliner Weisse that is going to get a dosage of raspberries. Going to make up a Swiss Voile bag for them though. Gotta do somethign with all that excess Voile

      Hm, really should pay attention to the alternative ABV calculations for high gravity beers. RIS is already at 13.95% and i just gave it a top up with 250g Dex. :o

      Must remember I have a TIG more often. 3hrs of annoyance on Saturday solved with 15mins of prep and TIG time.

        Harder than MIG, usually easier than arc/stick. But i hate stick welding with a passion. I will use the MIG over the stick any day (my TIG came with an arc attachment too)

        Cheers for that. Spent this weekend wrangling the stick on some 2mm SHS... I hate stick too... so many fumes and so difficult to get working on thin stuff!

      Finally got my 50mL sample tubes, now decanting off some yeast for storage. Still to decide on glycerine or just chilled until near reuse.

      Mashed in for first brew after my run of crap and problems. All going relatively smoothly except for the scales breaking on the last grain amount... ohwell upgrade time.

      Ah another f**kup. Krausen explosion from the fermenter. Reused the yeast cake from a previous batch and it was quite active. 1.053>1.012 overnight with spatters of krausen in a 3m radius

        Entire cake, the previous beer was really slow fermenting, so i figured i woudl give it a good go at life given the higher gravity.

      Blergh, burnt taste in the white IPA.... Evidently the foaming issue was probably linked to the element not getting hot enough. :(

        Nah, standard setup, just too much build up on the element, plus overly starchy from the wheat, plus split in the grain bag.
