I'm a big fan of Sierra Nevada's Northern Hemisphere which apparently uses Cascade and Centennial.
As luck would have it, I've both these variety's on the go and if I get a big enough yield this year I'd love to give it a shot. Only fly in the ointment is from what I can find, the ratio of fresh to pelletized is around six to one. At a rough estimate for a modest 20L at the claimed 67 IBU batch, that's the best part of a kilo of hops.
If correct, that's a lot of shit floating around in the kettle and soaking up wort.
For anybody's who's given it a whirl, how did you calculate for losses? Does that ratio sound about correct?
