Hi,

I bought a a nut and olive set tonight and the olive supplied was nylon.
Is this ok to brew with? Can it take the heat?

Yep, all day every day for a fair fraction of forever!

Nylon doesnt melt until 190C, and is immune to a huge range of chemicals, not too good with strong acids tho, Sulphuric and Hydrochloric particularly.

Use them in kettles all the time.
