I got mine from this guy and have no complaints. it was the cheapest purchase plus easy swap and go i could find. my lhbs will swap it even though i didn't purchase from him.

I'm shopping around at the moment as well and found the 2.6 from this guy the cheapest at $150 plus 20 for delivery. Keg king and my LHBS have it for $200. The 6 kg is the same price at all three at $200 plus 50 for delivery or $250 at Keg King and LHBS.

Haven't decided but am leaning towards the 6 kg and pick up from LHBS. Wouldn't be worth the effort in trying to explain why some bloke has dropped off another beer thing today and "how much is this going to cost?".

I got the 2.6kg cylinder from here a few weeks ago, no complaints and delivery was quicker than I expected.

Got my 2.6kg today (yay - so excited, I almost started a topic about it!). From the dude on ebay, it's a keg king brand, $180 delivered, took 2 days to deliver to BNE from MEL. Looks the goods.

Now I've got to construct the rest of my kegging system.

The biggest thing, IMO, is having a reliable re-filler close by that will deal with the specific brand of cylinder. If you have one sorted then happy days! :)

I got mine from this chap. Actually took about 2 weeks for delivery, but I believe that was the fault of the courier, not the seller. Lucky I was in no hurry.

I bought mine from supagas, for $160..it's a customer owned bottle

What size is the $160 cylinder from supagas?
Can it be swaped at the LHBS or does it have to go back to supagas for fills?

I got that Diemen 1/2 kilo bottles from the guy on eBay, he's in melb (seller: raw-like-sushi). Those Alu bottles are quite light!
search on eBay for:
Carbon Dioxide Cylinder 540g homebrew beer Aquarium CO2

They auction for 35-40 dollars each sometimes and he even sells them for 55 bucks BIN. Free pickup in Melbourne. In other words, depending on purchase price you can have 2.16Kg for ~160-200 in 4 cylinders. He posted me a second cylinder for no extra postage, guy is pretty easy to deal with. I also found the size nice for a semi-mobile sort of setup and can get a normal bar fridge and fit the bottle/s in the fridge on the hump :)

Nice one PC! Only thing is i couldn't be stuffed messing with 4 bottles for the same price, and it'd cost more for a fill..

If i went with the ebay one (keg king) any ideas on a refill? Most of the sites local places to me do swaps.

Ill call some gas places tomorrow, good idea DU99. How much is a refill?

it's a 6kg bottle and only filled it once, from supagas ,i have a sodastream cylinder as a spare, you should give them a ring and see if there still available..

I have the 2.6 keg king bottle which I also brought off ebay but is now nearly empty and would also love to know where abouts in Melbourne I can fill it up.
