Isn't being 'formal' turning up on time??? Applies to the IBU's ... let chaos rein ...

Yes, I guess it is. 'club' meetings should be specified by a dough-in time, the people can mosey on up when they choose.

Back in adelaide?

Gonna catch up with any flocculators?

I'll like too Kai, what a great group of brewers, get together and talk beer and brewing. I love that, done it a few times in Adelaide, Perth, here and in Gympie :icon_chickcheers:

But then they argue, stir anti or clockwise, on one foot or 2 ... floating or submerged mash ... whose turn it is on the handpull ... Ray telling some dodgey joke ...

The sounds of serenity.

Ah, IBU meets sound markedly different. Double brewdays for the minifloccs would uneventfully other than filming impromptu specialty grain preparation with a waddy & a tea towel, or big brew day attendees have arrived on time to find the brew half over because the host wanted to spare more time for sensory analysis.

Ok, for the Sunny Coast and North Brew Club....

Can anyone provide some contact details for Bayside Brewers in Melb?

I'd like to join.

Just so you're aware bulls, you can go along to club nights for a look-see without committing.
Good way to check out the clubs and see which one works for you.

Melbourne Brewers got my vote. I've heard you have to wear boat shoes and a panama hat at Bayside to get in

As to the benefits of brew club:
- Bulk buys (yep clubs do them, not just AHB)
- Gear Build Days
- Brew Days and Demos
- Trips to breweries (we went and brewed a beer at a commercial Micro Brewery's for a day)
- Sharing a brew and getting an honest appraisal on your own from someone who
judges comps and knows a thing or two about making a good batch.
- Freebies (we get a mag subscription with our membership)

Slightly OT

I voted for RAMBO (Royal Adelaide Mash Brewing Organisation) as the name for the informal bunch of drunkards that make up the Adelaide Mash Brewers but didnt get any takers. Something about the use of the word Royal.

I liked it, works on more than 1 level.....

Plus, it would be a good excuse to brew in camo pants.......
