Has anyone ever seen a non flooded 6 tap font for sale anywhere. Building the new bar and it should be able to support 6 beers on tap. What is the consensus one 6 tap font or just two 3 tap font side by side

Cheers

Could you make your own out of timber/copper pipe/stainless? I've seen some decent home made ones with insulation around each beer line, so would just require getting rid of the first bit of pour if it's been left a while and is a little stale..

Have a look at some of the coffin keezers in the US. Many people make some pretty cool looking insulated timber 'fonts'.

I was looking at getting a few small bit of old copper piping (big enough for a beer line + insulation) coming out of a recycled timber bar type thing but have scrapped those plans for something else (which I shall post once I have finished).

It just depends if you would prefer a shiny SS font or go a more rustic look. You could even just get a flooded font and not not run glycol through it?

I have seen a couple, but even used ones are a bit pricey.
On ebay BTW.

Here's a few fonts that may take your fancy. I'm thinking these are all flooded though.

I'm liking the Brooklyn...or the brahaus with only the elbow and a blank end...a man can only dream.

Coffin keezers I have looked at before but have never seen that red PVC fella, many thanks sponge.

I'm wrapt in that red PVC font --- http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/show-us-your-kegerator-29053/index301.html --- Post 3009.

This would have been great when modified to a three-tapper & saved me lots of dollars in my keezer downsizing exercise but alas, too late, as I've gone the bland & boring ss route.
Pics coming soon.

PS --- I would imagine that the shank holes in the fonts are drilled right through & then widened at the rear to accommodate a socket then plugged up later on?

I got this through a importer. It's called krome not the best finish. But for the price I paid I'm happy. I was able to hook up a blower to send the cold air through it which leaves a nice condensation on it.
And as you can see in the picture for about 10 minutes every sunny evening I get the beer rainbow which means beer o'clock. It's only a 5 tap tho.

That is a sweet looking font. How much did you pay for it. I think 6 taps was overkill anyway lol

It was 358 with out taps delivered. I can remember It was 560 for the font, decals and drip tray. There was also a small chip out of one of the ends so I got two pearl 525pc through in as a sweetener. Like I said not anadale quality. One thing I did like is the thick beer line. I find the pearl 525 pours perfectly through it. Not the biggest fan of the flow control they seam to drip more.
I did look at getting one made by exhaust shops and also called a fabrication place but the prices was mental. Then you would have to add shanks. In that krome site look at the importers and contact one of them I used Martin I think the qld link. top bloke and really helpful. I did try contacting direct for a bulk buy price but was told the same one as I got was out of stock. If I where going again I would look at the half circle ones think they would be a bit sturdier.
Cheers Jameson.

Thanks for that I will dedfinantly look at a BB for fonts but going to do one for regulators and has bottles 1st got some pretty sweet prices on perlick 525ss taps also at $40 each tap only.

Cheers
