I'm looking for an active brew club south of the river..

Depends on what you call south Stefan, there is a group called west coast brewers inc who meet 2nd Tuesday of each month at Dutch trading co in vic park, the members come from all over the metro area some pretty talented brewers in amongst them. Google them up they have a website and come to a meeting always good to see new faces.
