Hi Jeff, I had an issue with a brew two Saturdays ago that had my mash temp go too high for about 10 minutes due to a PID setting (I had to use the chiller to cool) the rest of the brew day went fine.
The OG ended up at 1050 instead of 1046 however this was more due to a new brew rig and not knowing the boil off, I added water to bring it back down too 1046.
The problem I have is that FG is at 1007 and not 1012 and really needed a lighter ABV beer.
Also I had to go away on Friday so I missed my usual dry hop window so I am looking at making a hop tea to give it a bit more hop flavor than the original recipe. I am thinking 10g each Cascade and B Sazz. How much water, what temp and how long do you need to do a hop tea for?
The recipe is exactly as per Tony's recipe posted on the here but scaled to make 20 liters of wich I ended up with about 17 liters in the FV due to my incorrect assumptions.
Thanks Jeff.
