That's a handy size party keg. And only $25. Shiny too.

Thanks for the link, appreciated. Honestly Feldon, I know they are are a handy size, I know they are only $25, I know they are shiny, therefore if you can't help me with my enquiry, why bother just pissing me off.

But thanks for the like?

You may know they are $25, and shiny, and a handy size, but other AHB readers won't when the link goes dead in time.

I included the info to make up for you omitting it in your OP (no need to say thanks - its OK).

The like was because I hadn't seen these type of party keg before. Thanks for that. Honestly.

Good work keeping cool y'all. Pass grott a barleywine and high fives Feldon for your forum support.

I sent a message to the gumtree person to ask about sending one to Brisbane. This could be just what I'm looking for.

Pressure rating must be low. I guess it isn't for carbonation of beer.

Shiny is good. And an insight into the metallurgy. Hard to think it is 304, but it might be. Hope a parcel is cheap. I might buy one just to evaluate.

My apologies Feldon, you are correct and I over reacted by not interpreting the post correctly. Hope apology accepted.

Lets us know if you get one zorsoc_cosdog. From the cap and tube setup it would appear pressure can be applied and pehaps treated as the 5l PET systems like Brewcraft sell.

Still interested to know if anyone has one or knows a bit about them.
Cheers

All good mate. Cheers.

Any idea what the fittings are? MFL? Would be useful for cold brewed coffee.
"5 litre Stainless beer kegs or study vessel for holding any liquid. Comes with plastic cap with potential to connect up to MFL beer keg fittings. Solid construction."

'Solid'.....with the same level of ambiguity as the word 'Quality'.....Whatever that means in absolute terms. On the positive side, it looks like TIG welding process at the base. Ergo, not thinner than a Scotsman's wallet!

I see black caps maybe? The male MLF under them?

No word back from Gumtree, hopefully today. Hope these units come out OK - they look interesting.

Are their any machinists out there who could estimate what that top thread is?

Above Gumtree ad appears to have gone but another guy is selling them under 5.7 litre keg, Hamersley, Western Australia. Sorry still do not know how to copy link.
Cheers

Yeah, its the 'potential' to take MFL fittings that worries me. Could be something basketcase like 3/8 flare which theoretically you could convert if you could find something to convert it with.

Dale got back to me

Hi ,
I'm just awaiting payment for the last 12 I have for a guy in Sydney.
If the sale falls through I will get back to you
Cheers Dale

Did some enquiries as well

"They're a great looking keg!
I don't have any more info on them as I never got to the point of connecting them up myself. I went to bunnings the other day to see I I could get something to fit and the local store only goes to 6 mm fittings and they will need a 3 mm fitting ( I think) If it was me I would put 6mm hose straight over the white thread and hose clamp on and then put whatever fitting you want on the other end of the hose. I hope this helps !
Cheers
I have a fella in Sydney looking at taking the last 12 I have left with lids and that'll leave me a couple to play with after I move back east. If that eventuates , I'll take down my ad
Cheers Dale "

Interesting, cheers.
