Yeh I've read bit of it. Wasn't sure if my system was gonna be like that or not

I've been watching a damn lot of youtube videos and I think I have it.

Sooooo.

The water you mash really extracts the sugars from the grain.

After its done that you move it to ur boiling. You then add your sparge water. Which is probably the rest which then absorbs the rest of the sugars.

The conversion of grain to wort itself isn't different than biab, it's just how you move liquor and regulate the temps that varies

I never Sparged before tho. I've been looking at beersmith 2 on my phone and have started creating a new equipment for the 3v. I watched the beersmith tutorial and I clicked all the batch sparging options. Tho when I look at the timer option or the brew instructions it doesn't add any type of time in for the sparge. It's says something about sachra..... Something the mash temp then finish. It says batch sparge yes

There is a small chance I do sparge actually. What I would do is once I pulled the grain bag out I would rinse the grain with about 4 litres of hot water

Also keep in mind that a 3v/4v system takes a hell of a lot more work to run than BIAB. If you are time poor then I would just get a big pot and a hoist.

I can brew over a day but its just getting that day free. I enjoy the brewing so its not a task for me. Always learning with it. I understand the batch sparge now a lot more.

Obviously once in brewmate it should tell me how many sparges to do. From what I'm guessing is that each step in the mash is a sparge step.

I only mention the time factor if you have young kids. I only got 7 brews in last year due to time constraints.

I see you're asking advice in other threads about equipment and the like, before you start spending if I were you I'd take a step back and do some research and familiarise yourself with the process. Not trying to discourage you at all, but a better understanding of what's going on will inform future purchases and save you money in the long run.

That being said, you don't sparge after each step in the mash, its done after the final step ( mash out).

I've been doing all grain for a year now. Obviously Still got a bit to learn. Meeting up with brewer Friday for the rest of the sparging I don't understand and he's gonna go through beer Smith with me.

The parts I want are parts I want on my set up now that I know I'm gonna want on my set up when I do it.

Learning off another brewer is the way to go, reading only gets you so far but seeing it in person is the best way to learn I reckon
