    Brewing With Polenta

Last CAP I used 20% polenta. Mashed at 40 for 10 mins with 5% of the total malt. Then 66 for 30 mins then raised to the boil for 20 mins. Than added back to main mash for a 65 degree mash. Got 80% (same as usual). Tastes great.

    Wit Recipe Question

That could work. The food processor will struggle so i would consider re hydrating the wheat prior to blendind it. There is no husk to worry about with raw wheat.

    Wit Recipe Question

I have always used raw wheat. the only dawn fall is its as hard a s hell to mill. I noticed Gaganis Bros (continental wholesaler) sells fresh cracked Australian wheat. Could be a good substitute.

    Questions For A Cabinet Maker

The chairs were silky oak and the other is tassie oak. It is more the way the figure/pattern repeats itself in the way it does that made me think it may be veneer, similar to how alot of Danish rosewood furniture looks. Oxalic acid is great i agree for cleaning timber.

    Questions For A Cabinet Maker

to have the pattern of the grain like it is it may well be veneered. I could be wrong though. I spent about 5 hours removing paint and varnish from a 50's chair and the timber is perfect with no swelling so i wouldnt hesitate using paint stripper and 0000 wire wool.

    AG Hoegaarden

Yeah, i really struggle with conversion with a wit. Add the oats to the wheat as well, maybe go 1.5gm per litre of coriander seeds

    AG Hoegaarden

Id consider a cereal mash if you go 45% unmalted wheat. Take the wheat with 250gm per kilo(of the wheat) of malt, sit at 50 for 20 mins, 66 for 30 mins then bring to boil and boil for 20 mins. Just did this with polenta and got 85% eff. Id say go 1 gm per litre with the coriander seed and toast...
