    Return from the wilderness

Well after several years of forced hiatus (one of the joys of childbirth apparently) I'm slowly working myself back into brewing and planning just some K&K's to get back up to doing a full mash etc. I'm also going to start kegging to cut down on the time bottling etc which I haven't done...

    What Are You Growing/producing/making?

Being that most homebrewers are a fairly resourceful bunch, I'm interested to find out what you are growing or making for yourself that most people go out and buy. For myself the list is something along the lines of Beer (no surprise really) Herbs and Veges - run of the mill stuff Citrus...

    Xxxx Gold

After 4 longnecks I thought I was ready to to take on the BBQ left overs in my fridge, consisting of around 8 XXXX Gold, 3 Cascade light and a six pack of Tooheys New, not that I was considering taking on all of it but was hoping to downsize. Well I finished of my last cold homebrew around the...

    Building A Font

hi all, I'm currently building a font (photo's to come), similar to a 'soccer goal' or 'goal post' font. Building it out of 90mm RHS. The top is 1200 long and its 290mm high. If I have 120mm distance between tap centres I can put 9 taps on. :beerbang: Just wondering what is 'standard' with...

    Central Coast Agers

Anyone on the Central Coast NSW going to be putting down an AG brew in the next two weeks? I'm heading to the coast to see the inlaws for a fortnight as of Saturday and would love to have a look at the process. At least it would mean that I'll get something out of the two weeks!!!

    Wine Barrel Smell

I just picked up a couple of large wine barrels ($50 each) to use as tables in my bar and as you would expect they have a fairly strong odour of wine. I have them inside in the bar and am finding that the smell is becoming pretty overpowering. Thinking about throwing a heap of bi carb into them...

    Bulk Priming Quantities

I've had a look at a few bulk priming articles but haven't found one that mentions a dextrose weight per litre. I was hoping to bottle a batch tommorrow that is ready to go. Its 21.5 litres. Does anyone have a simple answer here. Trust me I can only handle simple answers.

    Bar Fridge Size

What make/model bar fridges are people using to fit corny kegs in? I'm hoping to get a fridge that is a max of 800mm high x 590mm wide to go under my bar. Alternatively I could take out a shelf in the bar and make the space 1020 x 590. Any suggestions on what fridges will work out? Wouldn't...

    Brew Months

Is anyone else looking forward to it getting a bit cooler? Its near on impossible to brew out here in the summer. My "cold" tap water was running at 28C the other day from my tanks. The town supply is cooler but no good for brewing! Pitching yeast at 34C is ummmmmm interesting.

    Anyone Out Here?

Hi All, just getting back into brewing after a few years off. Really wanting to get away from cans and into AG brewing but I've never seen it done, and its a hell of a lot easier to get it when you can see it being done. That being said is there anyone out my way, Tullibigeal NSW, Near Lake...
