After just getting back into the brewing game and battling the 40+heat out here I thought I'd show you all what I came up with. i wasn't having much luck with ice blocks so i'm now using a few old tyre tubes filled with water and frozen. After giving them a bit of a knock on the ground they stretch and fit over like a gem. Throw a nice thick blanket over tthem and it is keeping the temp down pretty well.

Almost as flash as Ross' cold room.
 
nice work mayzi! up there with the laundry sink method...except better as you're not using up the laundry sink!
 
That is one of the most novel ideas I have seen in a long time :super: You could easily use up to 3 tyre tubes and have very good control over the temp.
