I went to the LHBS today and he was a little low on yeast stock. I wanted safbrew T-58 but got safale US-05. And I wanted safbrew S-33 and got safale S-04. Just want to know if these are safe substitute's? Many thanks Steve

Bought a new fridge just for keeping bottled beers in the other week. Its only a small fridge, can fit around 20 longnecks on each shelf. Only problem is the shelves are bowing so what do people use to add some strength to the shelves. I'm afraid the shelf will fail so I'm only putting 12...

What can you add to coopers stout tin? Never used it, any good or leave alone?

Been given a tin of cascade spicy ghost. I know its not a good one from what I've heard but is there anything I can do too it to make it half ok? Seems a shame to just bin it.

I've heard it mentioned on here that some people re-use the yeast in the bottom of the fermenter. What's the go with that? Do you drain it out and stir back in or just put the next kit on top of it? Or simply not bother?

Is it best to rehydrate the yeast before I start my brew kit?

I've used the bench capper for my bottles but the caps don't look crimped down enough. The capper is new. Caps are gold ones from LHBS. They don't seem to be leaking though. Do some crimp better than others?
