Hey guys,
I've just started using liquid yeasts and have been building a yeast library now for a few months. I now want to use a yeast that I have in the bank. How long before pitching final amount of yeast should I start making a starter from the slant. How long should each step take? Would you decant the beer before pitching if starting from a slant. Im not using a stir plate. Just intermittent stirring. If I'm using mr malty's calculator should I just work backwards to get a starting volume?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
Richard
