Happy Australia Day guys..

I'm having a few lagers today, I brewed up a few weeks ago a cube of Little creatures type pale ale clone. It's been done before here and turned out good with US o5.

Having day off thinking of pitching it with 005 English ale as it's all I got in my fridge except for some lager strains..

Do you recon it'll still turn out ok? Maybe alittle more malt from what I've read which I do like.
Or will it **** it and lose a lot of the hops as well.

I've read other around the world have used it on IPAs.

Or shall I just wait and get the us05 end of week.

Keen to brew...

Cheers

Uk ale yeast won't **** it or mute the hops.

Will be different from 05 but only you can decide if it's a difference you like.

I'd do it.

Do it and report the results. I'm a little bored with us-05 atm. WLP007 is for my next brew as an alternative.
Close to WLP005 just a tad more attentive.

I've used WLP007, it's a great yeast, especially for a LCPA-like recipe, so I wouldn't be surprised if WLP005 yielded a similar result.
