Inspired by the Imperial Mild that Brew Dog are running at the moment, please give me your suggestions for the simultaneously tastiest and lowest ABV beer you have ever brewed.
Were the first runnings even sugary enuf to make a syrup?

Why polenta, may I ask?
Easy maize. Crisp clean clear light bodied beer, an alternative to ricez.
Inspired by the same, this beer certainly surprised a few on how low the Alc was & high the IBU's were.
Drank really well. Fermented out over night - Could have gone grain to brain in 24 hours.

Mashed at 69c. Caramelised 5L of 1st runnings in kettle until it turned to toffee.
Cheers Ross
He does mean that.I think he means why maize when you are mashing at 70 for full body and only making a 3% beer, ie you don't need maize to get a light body in a 3% beer.
I thought it strange myself.
