I started doing partials with full volume boils in the kitchen a few years back (before AG).
Never had a boil-over but after melting the knobs off the gas cooktop once I got relegated to the bbq out back.
At least it's under cover.

I had a massive boilover in the kitchen and the stovetop has never been 100% resurrected, so it's outside in the Beer Garden for me!
I used to use the side burner on the BBQ but I just got a converted keg from Jazman that won't sit on it (now he HAS got a bloody nice verandah setup, with music at higher volume than the burner. I don't think it was iron maiden either, i think it was Ozzy
) Now I've got to dig out the old cast iron burner and use that.
