Ok, I know what wort is, but it came up in conversation this evening in a rather amusing dialogue.....

Wife: Can you bbq some saussages for dinner?
Me: ummm no not really.
W: Why not?!
M: Because I am boiling my wort.
W: You have boils on your what?
M: No, my wort.
W: (raises eyebrows)
M: (grins)
W: What is a wort?
At this point I turn to the Winnie the Poohs book on how to define something that is one thing or another...
M: A wort is the matter that is what it is before it turns into beer.
W: Oh..... ok, so why can't you bbq some saussages?
M: Because the gas is connected to the camping stove & not the bbq....

... and while I type this out, my six year olds voice in the background calls out "So Dad, is Mum cooking the saussages now is she?"

I had better get back to the kitchen.... :icon_cheers:

haha good to see you have your priorities right mate. Might be a good idea to ivest in another bottle though, beer+BBQ go hand in hand :D.

Cheers Greg

It's cooler if you pronounce it wert

lol yeah, cos I have always read it as wort, I have pronounced it as wart. This makes it hard to describe it to people lol
