Weyermann now list Abbey Malt and CaraBelge among their products:Link

I'm pretty sure these are fairly new additions to their range and having flicked through the websites of a few local suppliers, they don't seem to be available here yet. Has anyone found these malts locally and if so, can you share your thoughts?

We are already pretty spoiled for choice with the range of malt available to us, but a few more won't hurt!

Geezus I haven't got around to using that CaraBohemian malt which sounds great. MC gotta agree we are spoilt.

They are not here yet, but very close. You should be able to get from most good AG stockists very shortly.

cheers Ross

Im on my second bag Chap. Its great.

Its like a pale caraaroma.... same sort of deep amatiness as aposed to a crystal sweetness.

Going to make a Bitter soon with just carabohemian to see what its like.

I have been eyeing it off at CB's. Sounds perfect for a Ordinary Bitter as well.

Thanks Tony

Sounds good. I'm going to be doing a TTLL clone with 3% carabohemian (and the rest will be Simpons Maris Otter). Will probably brew it in the next fortnight.

anyone used abbey malt or carabelge yet?
is abbey malt sposter be a replacement for aromatic? wasnt melanoidin already that?

Abbey Malt is Weyermanns version of Biscuit.
Carabelge as far as I'm aware is their own unique malt.

cheers Ross
