Weird DME behavior in starter flask

where was that from?

I seem to have mixed success with DME and it not being a volcano of mess

cant remember, I got it with another order of stuff from somewhere other than Brewman, it had muntons written on it with a smily face, there probably still laughing. The dme I get from brewman is ok.
The other **** I couldn't even boil a 1litre starter up in a 3litre flask or it would boil over. I reckon it would've boiled over in a 5 litre.

Just Googled up "Flavex from Halcyon Pty Ltd" defiantly not a brewing grade product, made for the baking and confectionary industry.
I'll probably get howled at again but another case of saving money the wrong way. Get a proper brewing ingredient next time.

From a reputable BS, so there must have just been a mix up somewhere along the line.

EDIT: I've just contacted the producer to see whether I can get more information that will be relevant for us.
