I recently bought a water filter from craftbrewer to -duh- filter the water used for brewing beer.
However - as I am not really good at making, building or fixing things I never even contemplated that it would not hook up to the taps I have in the apartment we rent.
No probelm - I'll just go over to bunnings (it is just across the road) and get something that will fix it - the guys with red shirts should give me advice and recommend something that is in my best interest. Was I stupid to think that? Because the fat man in red who was busily gossiping away got quite offeneded that I would interupt his conversation with his fellow employee to get some help...after I explained to him that I wanted to connect up the water filter to the tap he said that I need to buy a whole new tap setup (the font + hot and cold taps). Wouldn't sell me a font on its own (said they don't sell them seperatly - but after a little wander I found some) and told me that I would pay more if I went to a plumbing supply shop just for a font.
I thought bunnings was the place to go if you had NFI about building shit and they would help you out...well whatever.
Now I didn't think I would have to rely on you guys for your advise, as I thought that wanting to spend money at bunnings would be enough for them to help me out.
Anyways,
here is my tap.
What are my options? New tap - is there an adaptor or something?
