they work wonders on circuit cards

Google ultrasonic waves/food industry. It' going to depend on the wavelength and the strength, apparently.Very, very interesting idea for h/b though Ultrasonic waves can also be used in brewing to increase fermentation rates too. :super:

Im off to buy one, great for knocking all the CO2 out of a beer, when Im working on a clone brew Im measuring the FG (very precisely) that and the alcohol content gives me the OG, measure the colour and you have lots of good information.
Beer into a beaker, into ultra sound, beat foam down with a stick...

would be keen to hear how these perform if anyone actually gets one.

How big are they??

I have been looking at one however if it only just fits a CD then it won't do what I am after it for :(

For $25 bucks you are going to get what you pay for. I have used one for cleaning delicate instruments not for brewing (don't see the point) and it was a small unit worth hundreds.

How big do you need it. I have one that is 2.4m long . What do you want to use it for?

Just gave one a quick tryout.
Knocked a beer sample flat in about 2 minutes, just tried using one to dissolve some Isinglass, looks good. Will try it in cold water and cold beer to see what happens, might be an easier way to use Isinglass which is I admit a bit of a PITA to dissolve.

Apparently Ultra Sound explodes yeast cells, so perhaps not a good idea.

Hey..... That could be a far better way of "pasteurizing" cider bottles! Thnx M.

Do a bit of research first as I would guess that for pasteurizing a specific frequency range is needed. Does this unit meet those specs?
