A quick question for the Perth brewer's

Does anyone know of somewhere to go to have a couple of 1/2" SS diameter sockets welded onto a HLT and brew kettle?

I would like to finally mount two bi-metal thermometers without having to use typical weldless fittings to make a water tight seal.

cheers

Haven't dealt with these guys for a while, but they used to be fairly friendly towards Foreign orders and they know their stuff when it comes to welding Stainless. May be best to speak to the workshop foreman and talk cash, unless you can find someone with a TIG set.

Mercury metal's in Bayswater will do the job as well.Get a few cash quotes and go for the best. Let us know who you go for and the result.I need a good TIG/mig guy for the future. I TIG but my welding is not A++++.

Bloke, depending on where you are and how much of a hurry you are in, a good mate of mine runs ABC Welding Services in Bibra Lake. He has just left for a 5 week holiday overseas but I can vouch for the quality of the 1/2" plug that he welded into a keg lid of mine :icon_cheers: .
Cheers

Thanks for the quick responses - I will give them all a call during the remainder of this week and report back on the cost.
