hmmmm well that article was a complete waste of ink on paper.

real good attempt to educated the general public about beer with flavour </SARCASM>

He actually wasn't a bad bloke at all really. He turned up out of the blue one arvo with his partner and kid and they stayed at the pub overnight. He told me who he was and that he was writing a series of stories about 'finding a new beer'... I gave him a tasting of our draught beers at the pub. He seemed to like all of them except the Icon 2IPA which was a bit too much for him all round, but given Extra Dry is his favourite beer it isn't surprising he found a double IPA a bit too full on I guess... The article ended up a bit of a laugh really. FWIW his favourite beer on the day wasn't New, it was the Sassy Blond. That wouldn't have made as funny a story though I guess :) It gave me a bit of a laugh anyway... We ended up talking politics and football a bit too as I remember, but that's another story...

Beer is beer!
Who ever created the concept of "boutique beer" is mostly likely a marketing person from Sydney.
The word Simply means shop.

As for the article. It is clearly a tounge in cheek.

It appear that some craft brewers is becoming a little elite-ist.
maybe a "closet" boutique brewer around the corner...

I still drink some mega swill but I can't rember last time I had a Victoria Bitter.
Though I had a Resch's at the "Burn' the other day
No need to forgive me I won't repent

He exercised my pet hate "Sassy Belgium Blonde". A writer should know that is like saying "England Bitter". Credibility rating, zero.

Yeah, an oft repeated title... "Belgium Beers".

Sticks in my craw too PM. <_<

Maybe it come from a "Scotch" person.

No elitism coming from me matti. Like I said in my earlier post I found him to be a nice enough bloke and the article to be a good laugh.
