Of course! Its not exclusive, but better value as I can put it in the same package. The aim is to make as many people get a kit as want one. The pieces are a little bulky, so shipping might not make it as good value by itself. I'll need to put them in a package so 10express post is best. I think the buttons are 5ea, the sockets are 6ea, the connectors are 3/4ea at jaycar. total about fifty. I can ship them for about 35... So not that different. Unless you are getting multiples or with a shield kit.livetoride said:Hey lael any chance/benifit of supplying the buttons and sockets etc seperate to those who have purchased off you previously
Yeah, 80 as I need to add 5 for postage that was in the arduino price. But postage is only once for the multiple kits. I can fit about 4 kits in one express post bag I think.djar007 said:sweet. So 75 for the kit and bits without the arduino?
How far off are you to sending them out? I'm keen as for a whole kit (the weather is crap here in adelaide, need something to do other than drinking beerlael said:Hi Guys,
I've got about 20 kits available from the last order which will be my last. I've also managed to source the buttons and power sockets and 2 pin and 3 pin connectors, which should save you about $35 compared to getting them from Jaycar. Total build cost is around $160 or so if you get those parts from me. I think last time I did the sums it was about $200 for a controller by the time you add it all up.
Quick math - $80 for kit and arduino delivered, $25 for switch buttons and power sockets from me (delivery with the others), 20 for case, 8 for heatsink, power supply and ssr from ebay for 15 or so plus miscellaneous like heat compound, wiring connectors. so looks like 150/160 is about right.
PM me if you want a kit and I'll send instructions.
Hi Nate,eresh666 said:Thanks Lael I got the kit delivered with everything intact, soldering iron is out of the shed ready to go
If I want to run a 3600W element do I only need to swap out the SSR for a larger unit and obviously the plug on the unit, everything else as is? I'm concerned with mash strike temp and boil times but if 2400W is suitable for others perhaps I should just run with that. Also given the instructions are written for 10amp load so following them is one less thing to cock up.

Nate
