I don't know how to describe it but it tastes like a Saison (how do you describe a Siason?)????
I have no idea why it tastes the way it does.

Is it the Malt?
I've never used golden promise or Vienna before.
Is it the Hops?
Never used Riwika hops before.
Or is it the yeast?
I've never used the Mangrove Jack's dried yeast before.

Did you have a whole range of mangrove jacks yeasts and grab the wrong one?

No.
It was the M44 as I had planed a APA as you can see. I usually use wyeast smack pack and build quit a large starter and thought id try a dried yeast to check out the difference..

So is it tasting fruity / estery with a kind of sharp finish..
What was yourfermenting temp?

I fermented it a 18C over two weeks in my fermenting fridge.
Strange??

Galaxy at 60mins? That's what comes to mind for me.

As someone who's attempting to make a saison tonight (wyeast belgian saison yeast) I'm rather curious to know if certain hop additions like the riwaka help to define a beer towards that sort of flavour haha :kooi:

Let me know if you end up figuring it out!

Canuck
