Rototaps are excellent! :super:Quote
I'd be keen to hear feed back on the The Euroball tap style, I don't know anything about them.
you only need the shank as long as the depth of what it is being mounted on. - Think bolt length required with enough thread left for the nut and washer.UsernameTaken said:And whats the deal with short versus long shanks?

Oh yeah, nice one, thanks a lot....TidalPete said:Rototaps are excellent! :super:
Fill bottles & growlers with ease. Minimum foaming from the first pour. Easy maintenance. Trouble-free for almost three years now. Leaves Perlicks in its wake.
Expensive but cheaper in a bulk buy.

Now I've gone and checked them out and am undecided on what taps to use again!!
They do look pretty good.
I like the lack of mass in them - means less metal to warm up and less to cool down on fist pour.
Nice and compact too. To me looks like there would be no need to disassemble to clean and no leaks at all.
I'm happy to spend what it costs, as this will be my final setup so want to get it right, until my next final setup that is.
The flow control ones look like a good design too, but more bulkier.
Can you adjust the flow by cracking them open on the non FC one's? Or will it foam to much?
No idea as I've only got the FC ones which aren't much more expensive anyway, all things considered.
Where did you get yours from?
The Micromatic website was the cheapest at the time & they were happy to give a further discount for a bulk buy. We bought 10 + spout plugs + spare O-rings which haven't been needed yet.
I recon we need a pub tap data base so you can goto different pubs with different taps and try them out!
FYI --- Those balls on the Rototaps are of great sentimental value. They were throttle spares from when the first Australian Navy patrol boats were built at Walkers Ltd way back in the day & spray-painted for me by Battered Sav Brewery. :icon_chickcheers:Bribie G said:Bribie G, on 06 Dec 2016 - 10:18 AM, said:
Pete could you post a pic of your roto tap setup and where you got them from, $$$ etc?
Shows how long it is since I've been to Sharkbait Manor  You were seen eyeing them off about 10 months ago when we did the Coastal Craft Brew Crawl Bribie. :icon_cheers:
If the roto's are what they are cracked up to be I'll consider getting some and sell my Intertaps at a good price.
