I brought some flexible beer line from KK the other day and changed over one of my lines in my kegerator on the weekend.

OMG freakin awesome, why didnt I find this amazing invention years ago. The line coils up neatly in the top of the keg and doesn't kink like the hard beer line does in the keg on the left. Just need to do the rest now.

Just wanted to share my excitement with those that would appreciate it..

Wouldn't the flexible be more subjected to kinking than rigid line as it can "fold" under it's own weight? I've got the rigid and don't have any problems with kinking.

the flexble line rolls rather than kinks.

agree with Truman, much prefer the flexible stuff, also means less stress on JG fittings, so less chance of gas leaks.

I guess it depends on what you call flexible ?
I have seen white stuff thats hard as goat knees and the other stuff I sell which is opaque that is firm yet coils.
Or other real flexible stuff that does allow proper bite from JG fittings.
Which is it ?

And here was me thinking there wasn’t anything else I desperately needed from keg king...

Being new to kegging I just bought some line from KK.

Looking to replace already as it is a ******* to get over the barbs (bought 5mm ID, 8mm OD) Also bought MFL type disconnects.

Even used boiling water to get it to fit.

Anyone else god a good recommendation on beer line? I have heard Flexmaster 2 is pretty good

The white stuff I use is rigid azz, quite difficult to jam into the freezer sometimes. I change all my lines out every couple of years, I still have more of the white stuff left over.
I think I'll give the flexible stuff a shot next time, sounds good.

Well ya lives and learns, Ross and Chappo set up my system nearly 5 years ago and I didn't realise there was anything other than "beer line". Mine is obviously the flexible stuff, using a KegMate style kegerator the required "keg Tetris" you usually end up with a birds nest of line on top of the kegs, and I have never had kinking.

Recommended.

I have a few different beer lines and in my opinion the Andale Flexmaster 2 is the bees knees. It is quite rigid and can be hard to get over barbs unless you use piping hot water but curls up nicely and stays in place with cable ties.
It has has the best 'quality' feel over the other lines and doesn't taste like plastic like the 'food grade' line I got elsewhere.
Next in line would be craftbrewers no name (I think but its been along time since I ordered it) white opaque line.

And leaking JG are easy to fix, use barbes and clamps :p

Edit to add pic, I've added another keg and more cable ties and its much neater now.

Slight necro on this - is this their vinyl tubing you guys are talking about?
Anyone have any recommendations on beer and gas line tubing?

Valpar Flexmaster II is the dogs.

I got that nice soft stuff from KK a few months ago. Not the hard stuff. The soft stuff is excellent. They must still have the option?

Danscraftbeer - is that the vinyl 8mmx5mm? That's what I was thinking of getting. The guy said it was good, but stains with darker beers. Curious if that is an issue other than cosmetic. @$25 for 30m, it seems like good value.

Another friend also recommends the flexmasterII though... Which is a lot of recommendations for it so far :) anyone sell it a little cheaper in rolls?
