Why squeeze?
I use a remarkable process called patience.
With patience I let the bag hang, and hang, and hang, all through the boil, until I finally can't leave it Any longer - have to pack up.
With patience no squeezing is needed. Grain is as dry as chips.

My Wife calls my patience, laziness, but I call it genius.

So, you don't boil all of your wort for 60+ minutes? Probably a negligible difference, but I'm not sure it's any more/less logical/valid/cool/virtuous than squeezing.

But it doesn't require any effort either.

Even with the BM you have the same squeeze or not dilemma.
I have seen well respected brewers squashing the top filter, in the raised malt pipe, down in order to gain the same "benefit".
Each to his own.
