I made a poor man's version as a vehicle for a variety of sour oranges that my parent's had.
Using information gleaned from the brewing great beers Belgians book I came up with the following.
It doesn't have the real sourness and flavours of one made with the correct yeast but it is a very tasty beer with a lovely caramel hint and a tartness at the back.
3kg LME. 30g Chocolate Malt. 70g Crystal. 100g Carapils. 100g Dark Brown Sugar. 50g Styrian Goldings. Zest of 5 sour oranges, juice of 7. T58 yeast
Steep chocolate, crystal and carapils. Caramelize sugar for a while (not sure how long this was) with small amount of runnings, zest of 2 oranges and juice of 1. boil all wort for 6 hours. 30g Goldings @45. juice & rind for 15. 20g Goldings @0
