Make a simple english bitter, or an IPA.

200-300g crystal steeped
Light LME
goldings or fuggles hops

Play around with ProMash or www.beertools.com

Take a look at the recipes section of www.howtobrew.com; there is a simple English Special Bitter recipe with some steeped specialty grain, maybe that is to your liking (I am brewing this now actually). I reccommend you read and follow the "My First Extract Beer" section if this is your first brew. Great site with clear step-by-step instructions.
