Looking for persons interested in bulk quantities of Rice Hulls.
These are used as a neutral agent to add volume and loosen your mash to help prevent stuck mash and promote wort flow.

These only come in bags of 125kg.
125kg = $65

$5.20 per 10Kg
$13 per 25Kg

I'll take 25kg (if there is more interest, happy to lower my quantity)

That leaves 100Kg for the taking Min quantity of 10Kg

Please post with the amount you would like and the amount left
Due to how light and bulky these are and the quantity of the order, i wont be shipping any of this order, pickup only from the central coast.

im in on this.
From my calculations, 25kg should be about 2 grain bags worth.

If you dont have your own packaging (old gain sacks ect), i was thinking heavy duty garbage bags (or multiple of)

I'll take 10kg as well. Not sure I'd ever use up 25kg of rice hulls.

My understanding is that 125kg is a full wool bag, so 25kg may be a bit more than 2 grain sacks

Thanks.

This being over a text medium, im not sure if you are saying 'may be a bit more' as in 'It may fit, but if you want it to close, bring a bucket' or 'Hah, you coastal folk crack me up, you need 10 bags for that'

Haha, for reference a full wool bag will take up most of a dual cab ute tray and is roughly a cube

Edit: sorry I can't be more specific with measurements only going off what the local supplier told me over the phone last time I enquired

just did some googleing, aparently a bale of rice hulls (125kg) is ~0.75m3 or 750L volume
a grain bag is just shy of 40L (will fit in 2x 20L handy pails)
25kg will be ~150L which is approx 4 bags

I think i may have to go with 10kg

Will be happy to cover the remainder of the cost if that part doesnt get claimed.

Yeah, without looking too far into it, I was guestimating 4 grain bags.

If it's oversubscribed I'm happy to drop back to 10kg, but also happy to take the full 25kg otherwise. Either way, let me know.

I'd like to stick with 25, going to try a couple of bags out as garden mulch! Bloody cheap for the volume. (And am wondering if it might be an idea to bring a vacuum cleaner along to do the "sucky" trick on some large garbo bags! :D
