cheers

Thanks matho, I will give them a call on Monday morning.

this might help you ..BOC sell the nut as a spare part..

Thanks DU99, I got the nut and the stem from BOC. They said they do not sell the nut seperatly. It was pretty expensive at $42. But at least it's not going to be a dry Xmass.

I'm just trying to unscrew the stem from the regulator. Should i be going anticlockwise?

If it's a US thread they are clockwise to undo I believe.

Oh crap, so even if i could get it undone the aussie one wont fit.

At $42 for the nut you could have nearly bought a Aus compliant reg.....

Not all the time. I have a micromatic guage with 1/4' pipe thread left hand threaded. Good luck finding an adapter or a replacement. I know this from trying to turn it into a dual pressure system. I ended up adapting the gas connector 1/2" fpt to 1/4" fpt. With this adapter I made, I was able to connect the entire dual regulator to the output of a single regulator
