Easy Ginger Beer

Specialty - American Amber Ale

Brewer's Notes

this is a tasty thirst quencher I have discovered: Enjoy!

2 KG light DME
1KG Dextrose
2 large ginger roots, finely grated
juice of 3 medium sized lemons
2 Tbs red Tabasco sauce

fill to 21 L with water and pitch 1 packet dry champagne yeast

Added 500g Lactose at time of Kegging

Carbonated to 220 Kpa
21L Batch Size

  • Original Gravity 0 (calc)
  • Final Gravity 0 (calc)
  • Bitterness 0 IBU
  • Efficiency 75%
  • Alcohol 0%
  • Colour 0 EBC

Fermentation

  • Primary 10 days
  • Conditioning 1 days
 
Just looking at a very similar recipe myself. I gather the lactose was for a little sweetness (Unfermentable) and Tabasco to add to the zing? Interested to here if you still stick to this or have modified? Cheers
