Trump put Scomo in a bind by awarding him the Legion of Merit. The Iron Rule to understanding Trump is that every last single thing he does is with his own interests and glorification in mind. I have no doubt whatsoever that Trump expects Scomo to knight him in return. No matter if it's honorary, Trump wouldn't know the difference. Scomo won't likely do it and risk ridicule, but if he doesn't Trump will at some point start heaping abuse on him.

Forecasting the future is usually futile. With Trump it's easy.
