I rack, mainly out of habit. perhaps I'll not rack the beer I'm fermenting now and see if I can notice a difference.

Do you dry hop to primary Rossco or use one of your ss teaholder thingies in the keg (Or both)?

i do both i rack to a cube if i need the room and a fermenter to use if i run out.

well thats my thoughts .now i will rack off and brew some more :p

Either - Generally dry hop loose in primary once the gravity drops below 1020, & I use the SS hopballs in the keg with plugs or flowers. The hopballs work great in the keg, I'm really pleased with the results.

Here is last year racking poll.

Maybe we should have another one to see if there has been and change in numbers?... or just for kicks :)

Edit - and no I dont rack, I probably wouldnt do it for a lager either.


But did you notice there's no "nup" in that poll?
It assumes you do, you did, or you're going to.

Probably worth doing it again with a straight forward "no" in there say

never
only for ales
sometimes
always
