J1gsaw - for future reference if you make another wheat use WB06 or Danstar Munch Yeast. These are true wheat yeasts. K97 is NOT a wheat yeast.

Also from my experience K-97 has a tendancy to fail takeoff, and you'll end up pitching a different yeast anyway
 
Would he not be better going for a Wyeast 3638 yeast for the hoe style - need that bubble gum esters.

Also you'll want some bittering hops in there to get an IBU around 17. Don't do any gelatine fining as you'll want the cloudy look, although being an extract brew the colour won't be anything like a hoe, always going to be darker.

Really? I've used K97 quite a few times and liked the results, though that in no way contradicts what you say.

how does WB06 go vs liquid yeast? anyone had good results? ive got a pack im planning on using in an extract hefe
