Hi Fella's,

I need some advice regarding propagating wyeast "activator" smack packs.

Does anyone have a procedure they follow to propogate a single pack into multiple starters. ie. 4 500ml bottles for 4 different brews?

I need advice on doing this to achieve correct pitching rates for both Lagers and Ales assuming for a lager 12million cells/ml and for an ale 6million cells/ml.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Pity the pics are gone, but you'll get the idea.

Quike reply: you do the cell count and the math but 10 M for ale and at least 16M lager.Oh and you will require a microscope other wise you are just having a guess.
