Hey lads,

Doing my first lager and it's lagering in my spare fridge now at 4deg.
been in a week next Saturday and it'll stay there for another week so 2 weeks in total.

Just wondering, when i bulk prime, using the calculator should I take in the dialectal rest temp when I work out the amount of dex to use?
The ferment never got over 15, but the dialectal rest got up to 19.

Im thinking that I probably should since it went from 19deg straight into the fridge....

Just want to make sure as it's tasting good and would hate to over\under prime.

Cheers

When all else fails...quote Butters

OK, I will.....
  • The temperature used is not necessarily the fermentation temperature...it is the highest temp reached between the end of active fermentation and bottling. In the case of ales, this usually is the fermentation temperature; in the case of lagers, it may be the diacetyl rest temperature.

Edit:
