Right now I'm just impatiently watching my amber ale brew :D

Giving it a bit of sniff around the airlock and it smells nice.

I'll likely go pick up some more bottles and another extract next weekend just so I can start the next batch right away.

Not sure what's on the agenda for the next batch. Have some reading to do while this one bubbles away anyway :)
 
Thanks to the help of this forum my first brew seems to be going pretty well. Bottled it today and snuck a quick taste. Definitely tastes and smells like beer so that's a bonus :D

Original gravity was 1040 and final gravity before bottling was 1009 so if I've got the calculations correct that should give me a final alcohol percentage of just below 4.6%

Now to just let it sit in the bottles under the sink for a few more weeks before transferring to the fridge to sample :)

Will probably head to the homebrew supply store tomorrow to get my next batch going :)
