Hi all

I'm new to all grain brewing and have recently finished my first batch, a pilsner. The other day I opened my first beer, poured it into a glass, and noted that it is a peach colour. I have open many more since and found the same. Has anyone got any ideas why it is this colour? All I used was pilsner malt and hops. the beer tastes fine and doesn't appear to have an infection. Could a new copper immersion wort chiller effect the colour in this way?

Was it clear? If not particles of yeast/hobs/trub can change the appearance and taste of your beer. Leave it a bit longer to see if the trub drops clear.

I also find that pilsner malt gives a gold colour, sometimes it can be quite a deep gold colour. So if you were looking for something lighter looking, you'll need some adjuncts like rice or polenta.
